Today, after several months of posting random thoughts, ideas, and videos, amongst other things, I'm glad to finally say that I have my first follower. With or without followers, I'd still be blogging about my daily eccentricities, but having an audience makes it so much more gratifying. 


One day, while having one of my oh-so-grueling days at work, I decided to stroll along over to my homegirls page on facebook. Delving a bit deeper into her page, I found a link to her blog. HMM.. I thought, this is interesting, and I began to read.. and read.. and read.. and read. Every entry of hers was interesting to me. I knew her from when we were about 12 years old and she was as grand of a homegirl as there can be. 


There are many things I remember about her and not one of these things are negative. It's weird what a person remembers from their childhood days. The fact that I still remember us making prank calls to so and so's house is a definite classic. I remember vividly that she used to fiend on my extremely close homeboy David. Many hours of "wonder phoning" was spent with her. She and I had a bit of an intermission being that went to different high schools and me moving off island. Fate brought the friendship back together on a Friday night at Maui's BEST EVER nightclub, Tsunamis. She and her girls did it big with a weekend long "girls night out". Our post partying moved over to Maui's king of saimin spots Hanafuda's where we did some catching up. We as in, my boy Mark and I and her and about 8 of her girls. The night was as nostalgic as it could have gotten. It was a beautiful night all around. Time flew a whole 15 or so years since this evening and so much has happened. We went from jockin' and fiending on David and Cynthia to being happily "married". Her to her Jason and me and my Anabelle. WHEW.. 


It's been a serious 50 or so entries that I've ended up reading before starting my own blog. I wondered, "what is it that I could possibly put to keep people interested?" Then the answer hit me at her post 51. It doesn't matter what you do to keep people interested, that's why this is YOUR blog. Then it began.. Post 1 was about why I'm choosing to blog. Post 2 is my Bucket List. From then on, a lot of material just rolled of the tip of my fingertips. Whether it be by typing on my laptop, the desktop, or the Blackberry in my pocket, it's all me; and it's her that I have to attribute to that.
