Let's get one thing straight before I begin:
I FCKIN HATE THE MAUI NEWS
But I will give them thanks when necessary.
This picture was taken at a ceremony in Lahaina at the sacred Hawaiian site of Moku'ula. The island of Moku'ula was at one time the ancient home of King Kamehameha III. This picture was taken at a ceremony to begin the Ka I'ime 'ike Program, which is to begin unearthing Moku'ula. It was a very historic day, one to be remembered for the ages. Being of Hawaiian ancestry, though we battled a long, hot and sunny day, I'm extremely glad to have been a part of it. Also, like the island of Moku'ula, I too am buried in this picture (don't bother, I tried.. LOL) However, both my mom and Anabelle are in this picture.
